Our position is...

28 degrees 28 minutes North, 16 degrees 14 minutes West. We got back yesterday evening from an overnight stay in the Teide National Park. We had a great time walking through the harsh volcanic terrain that, if I had to compare it to somewhere in the 'States, was a bit like the American Southwest. The park gets the equivalent of three showers worth of water every year, is freezing cold and covered with snow in the winter and hot and desert like in the summer. There is a huge observatory in the park because the Canary Islands are supposed to have some of the clearest skies in the world. The stars in the park were one of the highlights of the trip but they still weren't the same intensity as the stars out at sea. Once again there is not a cloud in the sky and it is 76.8 degrees down below. The propagation is still terrible so I am sorry that this has to be cut short.

Sincerely,

Robby
