Our position is...
22 degrees 08 minutes North, 25 degrees 04 minutes West. We are going 6.4 knots under headsail and main and are on a course of 272 degrees true. The wind is 15-20 knots app. off the stb. quarter. We have 20% cloud cover and it is 77.2 degrees down below. The seas were calm this morning and have gradually gotten rougher as the day has worn on and the wind has picked up, from 9-13 knots this morning to 20 knots. Today's undisputed highlight was flying along with our spinnaker at 7-8 knots. It is weird to be going so fast and yet be heeling and rolling so little. I guess it feels a bit like you would think riding in a hovercraft would feel like if a hovercraft were almost totally quiet. We were able to fly along like this until this evening when we figured that the wind was a bit high and unsettled to be flying the spinnaker all night. Once again, because of the spinnaker, I was unable to fish. I don't know if I should be :) or :(. Also, today, we passed some of the time away by reading, out loud, the Sherlock Holmes mystery by the name of The Speckled Band. Michael and I also practised our juggling skills. Try that rolling around on a boat:)
Sincerely, Robby
