Our position is...
31 degrees 21 minutes North, 11 degrees 07 minutes West. We are going 8.4 Knts. and are on a course of 235 degrees true. This is our third day on our way to the Canaries. We are still not sure which island we will make it to but we are hoping to make it all the way to Gran Canaria and should arrive there in two more nights. The wind is 21 Knts apparent off the starboard quarter and the seas are large from the same place. We are rolling so much from time to time that I was able, standing in the middle of the cockpit, to bend at the ankles, stiff as a board, and to lean all the way down to rest gently, face first, on a cockpit cushion that is only a couple feet up from the floor of the cockpit. It has been overcast all day and it is 73.2 degrees down below. We are motor sailing and the visibility is poor. Earlier today we passed a bit of the time away by reading the spine tingling Ligeia by Edgar Allan Poe out loud. (I failed to mention that we read the Father Brown Story out loud as well!) Well... I better go to bed before it gets too late.

P.S. I failed to mention in yesterdays report that the only thing I caught that day was a fishing trap.:( ---------- WWW.SVIMMANUEL.COM PLEASE FEEL FREE TO INVITE YOUR FRIENDS TO SUBSCRIBE! I welcome any questions or comments!!!! |
