Our position is...
28 degrees 07 minutes North, 15 degrees 25 minutes West. We made it to Grand Canaria this afternoon. Three to Five day passages are the worst as you are just getting acclimated to being out at sea when you arrive in port so you just spend the whole time first acclimating to the sea then, just when you are starting to enjoy things, having to acclimate to land. We are med moored in what is, by FAR, the most polluted harbor we have ever been in. The water is six inches deep in thick gooey green stuff that is definitely not natural. The fuel on the surface of the water is way past the sheen level. We are med moored up to a rough concrete warf and the tidal change here is something like nine feet so it is pretty much impossible to get on and off the boat. Even when the tide is at a good level for us to get on and off, while we are gone, our ramp will get crushed at the next low tide. Also the marina lights just turned on and they are blaring right into our hatches and it looks like there might be mosquitos. So far, as you have probably gathered :), I am not really impressed with this place.
